
Pankaj Jha (Actor, Author, Painter, Musician, Director, Speaker and the list goes on)
is an actor by profession, painter by passion, poet by default (Author of the book of books “Agyat se gyat ki Oar” and photographer by choice. He sings and composes as well.
Jha holds a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts (Paintings) from the College of Arts & Crafts, Patna University. An accomplished painter, he has had many successful solo painting exhibitions to his credit so far. The actor has an art studio in Pune, Maharashtra, and he often escapes from the humdrum of the city life to be in the company of colour, canvas and loads of creativity.

Jha’s stroke of creativity extends to poetry as well. His love affair with verses makes his thoughts that spring from his minute and detailed observation of people and their behaviour, dance to his words and soothe his senses. He’s the author of the book “Agyat se Gyat ki oar”
A born actor, Jha used to stage and act in street plays in his village in Saharsa, Bihar. Jha was part of National School of Drama Repertory. He made his debut in Hindi films with Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding in 2001.

Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Chameli and Mumbai Cutting, Manish Jha’s Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women, Anwar and A Very Very Silent Film. He has also starred in two of Ram Gopal Varma’s gangster trilogy, Company and D and Shiva. His other noteworthy performances include last year’s comic caper Baankey Ki Crazy Baraat, Running Shadi , Udancchhoo (2018), Blackboard v/s Whiteboard (2019), Setters (2019) , Gun Pe Done (2019) among many others. On Ott platform like Netflix (Movie Mimi), on Amazon Prime video(Mirzapur, Panchayat season 2 and 3) On Mx player (Runaway Lugaai), Nirmal Pathak ki ghar wapasi on Sonyliv.
Recently Mr. Amitabh Bacchan has twitted about one of his poem and wrote that it was a great experience working with him.
His book “Agyat se gyat ki oar” is very popular among new generations. He says about his book ‘ This book is very good for self realization and inner growth’.
His recent exhibition (Black and white series) in Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai was very much appreciated.
